Moving In - Customer Satisfaction

"Myself and my two sons were moving into a new right next door to Leroy. It was a new house with all white walls from the bottom up; 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor. We desperately needed a paint job done and after trying different painters I came to the decision to use Leroy.

He did the second bathroom, my bedroom, the living room and both of my son's rooms. I wanted a color for their room but they just wanted all white. It took him about three days to do the work and it came out beautifully especially the living room. I was completely satisfied with his work. He did a fantastic job and I'd definitely have him do more work again."

Hiring a Professional Painter

Hiring a professional painter is sometimes the best way to go than doing it yourself. Here's where I come in. Occasionally, a little more costly than doing it yourself, if you want the job done right then you go get a pro. Most pros bring their own supplies.

Step 1 - Determine which areas of your home need to be painted and consider any work you want to have done before painting. For example, do you want to replace or repair moldings, patch damaged drywall or hang new doors?

Step 2 - Decide what colors and paints you want to use. You can get paint charts for all major brands at general home centers or paint stores. The painter you hire may also have suggestions - take these seriously.

Step 3 - Contact several painters. Ask friends, neighbors, builders and designers for recommendations. If you're having difficulty locating house painters, check the yellow pages.

Step 4 - Have the painting contractors inspect the site and quote a price for the job. Make sure the contractors are quoting on the same specifications - areas to be painted, number of coats and so forth.

Step 5 - Execute a contract specifying the work to be done, total cost, payment schedule, start date and estimated completion date.

Step 6 - Remove all furniture and other movable items before the painter is scheduled to begin. Anything not removed should be piled together in the center of the room and thoroughly covered with drop cloths.
